Judging from these photos, it's clear that Audi's smallest vehicle will retain the German automaker's trademark headlights and their bottom row of LED highlights, along with its customary gaping grille…

In the ad, Audi's Green Police arrest people for crimes against the environment, things like using styrofoam cups and…

While Xbox 360 owners were rewarded with an incredibly good Forza 3, several delays of GT5 wrecked the plans of many a Playstation 3 owner, this writer included. But since we were hell-bent on a new racing game, the decision was made to take a chance on another new racing game…

This is a guest post by Matthew C. Keegan....   Sometimes an automaker will introduce a vehicle based upon the platform of a "lesser" model. Typically, this plan is employed when costs need to be cut to realize real savings. The theory is that the shared platform can be tweaked enough to distinguish the upscale model from the ordinary one. Add in leather, a taut suspension, and upgraded powerplant options and you can probably pull it off. For Audi, the introduction of the all-new Audi A4 during the mid1990s allowed the German automaker to capitalize on the success of the Volkswagen…

When we purchase an Audi, many of us just think about the final end product.  It's nice, shiny, and we look good driving it, right?  But how many us appreciate all the hours that goes into designing that fabulous Audi vehicle?  In this video, we get a small glimpse into the minds of Audi designers, Dany Garand and Stefan Sielaff, as they collaborate on the Audi A1... In an interview with The Detroit News earlier this year ("Chief Audi Designer Talks About Inspiration"), Stefan Sielaff says this about gathering ideas for design: "I believe designers should go out…

But It seems like Mercedes Benz accepted the challenge put forth by BMW by bouncing back in the game of car sales. Mr. Wilfred Aulbur, MD and CEO of Mercedes Benz India said that though the car sales…

The best Super Bowl commercial had to be the Green Police from Audi.  I also completely agree with Debbie Schlussel that the premise is real enough to be scary.  If Green Police really existed, I would definitely be in trouble.  For now, I’m doing my bit to stop the schools from turning my children into little mini-Green Police.

  • Audi Shows Green Police Super Bowl Commercial Before the Game

    Chris
    5 Feb 2010 | 8:14 am
Audi is giving their Facebook fans the Green Police Super Bowl ad a bit early. The ad, which will be shown during Sunday’s game, features the Audi A3 TDI being praised by the Green Police during a “green crackdown.” The 60 second spot is actually a compilation of many of the other Green Police videos already shown. The fact that Audi is advertising the A3 TDI really speaks to the current economic climate, and I hope will help get diesel technology out to the masses. Here’s the video: Check out Audi’s Facebook fan page for some other Green Police videos and info.

2010 Audi Q5 The readers of Off Road Magazine just voted the new Audi Q5 as best off-road SUV of the year. 25,000 readers of the magazine voted the Q5 in for the SUV category. Kind of surprising actually, I never considered the Q5 to be much of an off-roader. Off Road also voted the Audi Q7 into third place in the Luxury SUV category. “The Audi Q5 combines dynamics and sportiness with a highly variable interior. It’s an all-round talent for recreation and family. And in the long run, that’s what customers in this segment want,” noted Hans-Joachim Radde, Head of Marketing…
  • Audi’s Green Police Campaign Ruffles Some Feathers

    Chris
    1 Feb 2010 | 3:45 pm
Audi recently released a new advertising campaign centered around the “Green Police” – a fictional police force focusing on environmental concerns (see video below.) A clever campaign that quickly backfired when one blogger pointed out that the Green Police was an unofficial name given to a group that was affiliated with Nazi persecution called the Ordnungspolizei. They were given the name Green Police by some because of the green uniforms they wore. The term Ordnungspolizei, however, translates literally into “Order Police,” not Green Police. “Jeffrey…

Abt AS7 Audi Q7 Facelift After a couple years, it’s easy to get bored with a car you drive every day, especially if it’s not a particularly exciting car in the first place. Take the Audi Q7 for example. It’s not a bad vehicle in any way, but just like every other SUV on the road, it’s a bit…mundane. That doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy a new car every couple of years though. Bored with your Q7? Hand it over to ABT for an energizing facelift and overall upgrade. Not only will it make you love your SUV again, but you’ll stand out from all the…
  • Audi A1 Gets a Wasabi Green Interior

    Chris
    25 Jan 2010 | 8:00 am
Wasabi Green isn’t the first color that pops into my mind when thinking of what color I’d like my new interior, but Audi is offering it as an option in the new A1. They promise it won’t be over-the-top, however, and will be used “selectively to create accent, such as in details like seams.” Might look pretty good after all. Special colors, both on the interior and exterior, really help with the uniqueness and personality of a car and even help the owner feel more connected to their ride. Wasabi, in case you aren’t aware, is a Japanese type of horseradish…
